How to use the generator

  1. Pick a format. Not sure? Rotating partners (mixer) is the friendliest for mixed groups. Formats explained.
  2. Add players. Paste names from your group chat, or type a number.
  3. Set courts and rounds. A round of games to 11 takes about 15 minutes, so 8 rounds fill a 2-hour booking. Court time math.
  4. Print or share. The printout has a score column and is sized for one sheet; "Copy as text" pastes cleanly into a group chat.

Which format should I pick?

  • Open play rotation: drop-in sessions. Everyone comes off after each game and the next four go on, with the fewest-games players first. How to run open play.
  • Mixer (rotating partners): social round robins; you partner as many people as possible.
  • Fixed partners: teams play every other team; byes rotate when the courts can't fit everyone.
  • Americano: individual points, partners rotate. Americano vs Mexicano.
  • Mexicano: round 1 from your list order (put players in rough skill order for seeding), then pairings by standings: 1st & 4th vs 2nd & 3rd.
  • King of the court: round 1 seeded from your list; winners move up a court, losers down. Rules.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a pickleball round robin schedule?

Choose a format, enter player names (or just a count), set the number of courts and rounds, and press Generate. The generator spreads sit-outs evenly and avoids repeat partners, then you can print it or copy it as text.

Is the round robin generator free?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

What happens when the number of players does not fill the courts?

Extra players sit out in turn. The schedule makes sure nobody sits twice before everyone has sat once, so games played differ by at most one.

Why does Mexicano or king of the court only show round 1?

In those formats each round depends on the scores of the round before, so only the first round can be planned in advance. The printout includes blank rounds to fill in; the Paddle Rack app does it automatically as you enter scores.

Can I run open play with people arriving late?

A printed schedule cannot adapt to late arrivals. Regenerate it for the new count, or use the Paddle Rack app, which adds late arrivals with a fair games count mid-session.
