St Wolfgang of Regensburg
(c. 934–994) Benedictine schoolmaster, missionary to the Magyars, and bishop of Regensburg who reformed lax monasteries and willingly ceded territory to create the new diocese of Prague. Tutor of the future emperor Henry II, he died on the road at Pupping.
Saint Wolfgang, bishop who gave ground gladly, pray that we prefer the Church's good to our own.
